Diners Club issued the world’s first charge card back in 1950, and today its cards are issued in over 200 countries and 70 local currencies. In North America, Diners Club is located in Chicago, Illinois. It is owned by Citigroup and is a franchise within the Diners Club International network. Diners Club supplies an assortment of credit cards for mid-to-large corporations, individual business people and professionals. In 2004, Diners Club formed an alliance with MasterCard. Diners Club cards in North America now feature a MasterCard logo and can be used wherever MasterCard is accepted.
